Benefits and Challenges in Group Work-Free-Samples for Students
Question: Discuss about the Importance of Group Work at the different levels in the Education System. Answer: Introduction The group work is considered to be important for the learning at the different levels in the education system. There are different scientific approaches for the students to learn and work in the group. As per the research, it has been seen that the groups will help the students with the ability to learn, where the aim is also to understand the current level of knowledge and how the people are able to share their thoughts about a particular topic when it is being discussed in a group. (Burke, 2011). The primary aim for the university students is to give a voice by elucidating the university students to put up their positive and the negative thoughts, while working in the group. The paper is designed to focus on how the students are able to work with the collaborative learning and the other educational activities and to interact with the faculty members for better grades and becoming satisfied with their education. Benefits and challenges Some of the advantages while working in the group are: The groups have the information which is comparatively more than the single person. Here, there are greater resources and information which is available for the variety of backgrounds and the experiences. The group works on the simulation of creativity with regards to the problem solving and handling the applied heads. (Burnett, 2016). The people in the group are able to remember the discussion easily as the output for any discussion comes after many acquisitions and allegations in the group. Hence, the major focus is to present all the instructional formats. The decisions that the students help will bring a better satisfaction as per the research where they are indulged in the group problem solving activity. Here, the members are also more committed to the solutions and are satisfied with the participation in the group than those who are not involved in the same. The students have a comparatively better understanding of where they stand and also with each activity there comes a thought to read more about a topic so that it can further be discussed in the group among the members. (Chiriac, 2014). The team work is highly valued by the students as well as the employees where there is a development of the interpersonal skills with the all-round development that is listed by the different employers. The university works on how the graduates are able to evaluate and work towards the best solution. Some of the challenges which could be identified are group dissonance where some of the members of the group does not will to work together where some of the groups also lack motivation, and the strong leadership. There are some of the personality conflicts which leads to the failure and avoiding the breaking up of the group. Hence, to overcome this, there is a need to focus on certain skill sets with the help of easy communication without any fear. It is necessary in the group to work with disagreements and then find the resolution for the same. The other challenge is to evaluate the group where the aspects of the process need to check on the effectiveness with the group members contribution as a whole. The identification of the aspects and the assessment is mainly to evaluate the effective methods which are important for the future group projects. For the students, the coordination costs are there where there is a need to allocate some time and energy to the group with properly sch eduling the meetings and then matching the time to meet and correspond. The coordination and the motivation leads to missing the deadlines. Hence, it is important to keep the groups small and assign the roles to the different members so that everyone is active enough to complete the task. (Davies, 2009). The active build-up communication and the conflict resolution skills help in designating the time in the project schedule with the group members who try to integrate the different parts. The social loafing also includes how the group members exert less effort with the reduced sense of accountability. The conflict is within the group that erode any of the morale and cause the members to withdraw as well. For this, there is a need to properly assess the group process with the self-evaluations and the other peer evaluations. The intellectual costs are depending upon the demands with reduced creativity and the productivity. The group thinking leads to the conforming of a perceived major ity view with the escalation of commitment to become committed to the planning strategy. The common information effect is set to focus on the information of the members with the unique patterns which are found to be relevant. For the allocators or the teachers, the teaching process skills with the functioning in an effective way is difficult for the strong communication, coordination and handling the conflict resolution skills. Hence, for this, the assessment of the teamwork skills should be done in a pre-planned manner. (Mellor et al., 2016). Factors affecting the success of group work It is important for the management to focus on the potential capacity of the human resources with the high degree of the group loyalty with the effectiveness of the skills of interaction, and the high-performance goals. To build the effective team, the management need to provide with the better environment which is found to be conducive for the team work with the attitude that includes a better support with team efforts and innovation. (Burke, 2011). Hence, some of the factors that affect the success of the group work are: There are some people in the group who become dormant due to their lack of knowledge. They become silent listeners without any ability to communicate with the other team members. Hence, this pressure should be evaluated and every person in the group should be given a chance to speak about his thoughts. The individual might dominate the decision of the other person which directly leads to the members to not gain satisfaction from the groups as they are alienated from the decision-making processes. There are some members who also rely on others for the work. Hence, with this, there are some of the salient problems which need to face the groups. Some members do not pitch in and help rather they try to threaten the other person. For this, the best solution could be to tell the group about the aim and objective of the group discussion and how it will be evaluated based on the thoughts. This would lead to the responsibilities for every member in the group. In the group, it is certain that more time is taken for the discussion, where there is a possibility to never-ending thoughts. Hence, sometimes, the discussion could be eradicated rather the individual thoughts could be considered. (Chiriac, 2014). The factors like leadership and cohesive nature is considered as a major drawback in the group. Some of the formal groups need to focus on how the managers or the supervisors are working as the leaders. The informal groups are selected by consensus where the groups of leadership are influential on the higher quality of the group. The high degree and strength of interpersonal attraction comes among the members where there is a high motivation to achieve the goals of the group. The cohesiveness is based on the loyalty where the compliance is with the group norms, friendliness and the role responsibility for the group efforts and willingness to defend against any undesirable interference. Conclusion The information about the group work is to focus on the collaborative learning, where the students spend the time to meet in groups and are also able to achieve a deep understanding about the learning of the themes. The development of the skills and the writing with communication helps to encourage the students to spend more time with the easy conversations to the team members. (Davies, 2009). With recent trend development, the collaborative learning process is based on using the technology with utilizing the use of the wikis that encourage the participation and group involvement. There are many instructors who make use of the online discussions for face to face classes to foster the participation and engagement. The group work is considered to be greater than the sum of its part, where there is a creation, monitoring and the evaluation of the groups. The process is to supplement the lectures that will help the students to be engaged in the work and develop teamwork skills as well. References Burke, A., 2011. Business Perception of Management Reality of Business
Question: Describe about the Business Perception of Management for Reality of Business. Answer: 1. It is true that, perception is reality in view of the fact that what we perceive is what we then accept as reality and as fact. People have their perceptions for a particular product or service. All the people have different perceptions. Along with this, the perceptions that people hold today may be altered by the perceptions of parents, friends, siblings, spouse, school, institutions, the media, and so on (Cooray, 2014). Moreover, perception is reality; and the perceptions people have play a critical role to decide the kind as well as quality of their reality that is combined with the fact. Apart from this, most of the perceptions of people about reality are obtained from the perceptions of others. In addition, perception may be a good idea to investigate, discover, comprehend and make rational logical conclusion for the welfare of people. Each and every person has his/her unique perceptions. Their unique perceptions play a major role to determine that what is right or wrong for the people. What they need to achieve and what is possible or impossible for them in their every areas of lives (O'Shea, 2012). In this way, it can be said that perception is reality and it plays a major role to give realism to the views of people. Apart from this, the case of Great Wall Motors is also related to the perceptions of the people. On the basis of the given case, Ateco (owned by multi-millionaire Neville Crichton) introduced Great Wall (utilities and off-road vehicles) in Australia as a low-priced car. Moreover, with the help of this, the company wants to cover all the people those are willing to buy low priced vehicles to fulfill their dreams (Blyden, 2012). In other words, the company wants to cover all the middle class people. The company said that people will enjoy reliability, safety, technology and comfort by using Great Wall vehicles. The firm also promoted that the Great Wall offers amazing value to its customers and as a result. The promotion activities of the firm changed the perceptions of people about Great Wall vehicles. Now, people started to believe that Great Wall is a low priced and high quality product for them. On the other hand, in a little while, the perceptions of people changed by the asbestos situations of car. It is because of the motoring writer Toby Hagon purchased a Great Wall X240 and discovered that the dealer needs to make a bunch of repairs under warranty period of the car. Hagon also concluded that the X240 is better at off-roading than travelling on normal roads (Hagon, 2012). Along with this, Hagon also purchased a second-hand X240 and also published his review on the Great Wall X240 ute. Hagon said that I personally discovered that there are asbestos components in the engine and exhaust system of the car. This thing totally changed the perceptions of people. Now, they are not willing to buy a car that has asbestos components in its engine and exhaust system. For that reason, the sales and market shares of the firm declined rapidly (News. com.au. 2012). In this way, it can be said that, perception is reality and the perceptions of people have major importance in the growth a nd success of the business organizations. 2. No, I do not think that Ateco handled the asbestos problem in an effective and an appropriate manner. There are numerous reasons behind this. The main reason behind it is Ateco is a national distributor of Maserati and Lamborghini care. These both are the luxury cars and also cover the top class people. Along with this, Ateco introduced two low-priced Chinese brands into Australia: Chery (passenger cars) and Great Wall (utilities and off-road vehicles) (ABC. News. 2012). But, before introducing the cars, Ateco did not examine these both cars on its own risk. Ateco did not take a drive test to know that do any of the cars have weaknesses. Moreover, Ateco did not hire experts to examine the cars. On the other hand, Ateco come to know about the weakness of the car when the writer Toby Hagon published his views about the car. The writer told them the car needs a lot of repairing under its warranty period. For case, inoperational parking sensors, slipping door seals, a dysfunctional cupholder, and so on are the major things that the dealer needs to repair in its warranty period. The other thing that Toby Hagon told them is that the car needs a powerful engine. It is because of X240 was better at off-roading and people need to change gears on a regular basis. So, there must be a powerful engine in the car (Sabatini, 2012). Along with this, the writer again requested to Ateco to provide a test car for review; but the company refused. The main reason behind t is that the company was afraid that Hagon will make an inevitable comparison with its higher-quality as well as higher-priced competitors such as: Hyundai, Toyota and Nissan. These all the things show that the company was not sure about the product (Bloomberg News. 2012). Apart from this, Hagon purchased a second-hand X240 and a few days after published his review or opinion on the Great Wall X240. Hagon stated that as per the company the owners obtain a 3-year, 100000-kilometre warranty on their Great Wall vehicles. But, that is not true. I purchased a second-hand X240 any only paid $15000 that is very less than its new price tag of $23990. The writer sold it again for $11500 to a buyer. It shows that the car does not have its brand value in the marketplace and the resale value of the car is less than half of the original value (Lower, 2012). In th at case, the company did not take any powerful actions to solve the issues faced by the customers. Apart from this, the writer also published that there are asbestos components in the engine and exhaust system of Great Wall X240. Then the company woke up. The company gave instructions to the experts to check the cars and as soon as Ateco revealed the problem it straight away asked to suppliers to change these parts on all the new cars that are imported from China. The company also conducted a meeting to decide that what steps they need to take in response to the problems (Hagon, 2012). Furthermore, Ateco has stated that its Chinese manufacturing partners did not tell them truth about the engines, and also assured us that the cars do not have asbestos components in the system. Ateco did not take any strong actions in this situation and only stated that we are very stunned and disappointed with this state of affairs. In this way, according to me, Ateco did not take appropriate actions in order to handle the asbestos problem in an effective and a proper manner. 3. Currently, public relations play a significant role in the growth and success of the business organizations. The main reason behind it is that public relations are helpful in order to establish relationships between the business firms and customers. Along with this, PR is a communication process that plays an important role to develop mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics (Kotler, Burton, Deans, Brown and Armstrong, 2015). What is more, PR is used by the business firm to make strong relations with all its customers and stakeholders. PR entails social media, media relations, reputation management, corporate responsibility and crisis communications. PR also involves online media, the broadcast and global print for the success and growth of the business organizations. In addition to this, the major purpose of public relations is to obtain full media coverage, build brand awareness, maintain positive public image, and create strong relationships wit h the diverse listeners of the firm (Johnston and Sheehan, 2014). On the basis of the given case scenario, there are a lot of options that the organizations can take at what time they face problem with a major public relations (PR). For case, branding is a major option in this situation. The firm may use this PR option in order to make effective communication with its customers (Robbins, Bergman, Stagg and Coulter, 2014). Moreover, with the help of this option, business organizations like Ateco can ensure that the brand messages of the business are carried out in the marketplace in an effective and a proper manner. It is because of brand message plays a significant role in order to develop successful communication between the organizations and their internal external audiences. In addition to this, with the help of this, business organizations may use trust-building tactics to obtain the trust of the people. In this case, Ateco must focus on the branding to promote the products such as: Great Wall and Chery brands. This option would be beneficial for the firm as well as the customers. The main reason behind it is that, with the help of this, Ateco will make efforts to maintain its brand image in the eyes of customers (Bray and Waring, 2009). On the other hand, customer satisfaction and issues management are the other important options that are helpful for the business firms to maintain public relations with customers. For case, with the help of these options, business firms will make a lot of efforts to improve the level of customer satisfaction and to resolve the issues that are faced by the customers (Truscott, Bartlett and Tywoniak, 2009). In this case; if Ateco used these options than it would not face such serious issues in the past. On the basis of the given scenario, it can be observed that, the customer Toby Hagon reported about the problems of the car but the firm did not take proper actions to resolve the issues. At last, the market shares and sales of the firm declined. In this situation, if Ateco focused on the issues that are reported by the customers and also take steps to solve the problem; then the firm would be able to maintain its image in the marketplace (Watson, 2007). In conclusion, it can be said th at, the business firms must focus on the public relations options or practices to resolve the issues and maintain strong relations with their customers. 4. Yes, it is true that stereotypes that are related to business firms are always true. For case,Toyota has positive image in the mind of customers. The main reason behind it is that there is a stereotype related to the firm. The stereotype is that Toyota always provides high quality and safe products to its customers. But, in 2010, a safety recall for its Hilux Ute slightly tarnished Toyotas stereotype. But, the other thing is that stereotypes are always true. The stereotypes are the results of the hard work, loyalty, and dedications of the business organizations (Faniko, Lorenzi-Cioldi, Sarrasin and Mayor, 2015). On the other hand, in todays more complex and competitive business era, these types of incidents or situations may occur that influences the stereotypes related to the business firms. But, it does not means that business firms are unable or fail to offer high quality and safe products or services to their customers. Apart from this, there are numerous strategies that play a major role to manage and also reduce the negative impacts of the stereotypes (Downing, 2012). For case, a strong brand image, effective communication, and strong relationship are the major tools to reduce the negative impacts of the stereotypes in an effective manner and an appropriate manner. Moreover, task reformation, self-affirmation encouragement, and high standards consideration are also the other strategies that play a critical role to lower the negative impacts of the stereotypes. Along with this, the firm may offer external attributions and compensations for the difficulties of customers (Hartley and Bruckmann, 2008). In this way, it can be said, that the firms those have strong stereotypes may use different tools to control and manage the negative impacts of the stereotypes in an effective way. References ABC. Latin America Affected by Illegal Drugs
Latin America is the region worse affected by illegal drugs. Countries such as Mexico and Uruguay act as producers and suppliers of a number of illicit drugs to the international illegal drug market. The aggressive war on drugs waged by the Latin American states has failed to yield significant results and the drug problem continues to plague the region.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Latin America Affected by Illegal Drugs specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More This has led to radical actions being proposed by Latin American leaders. Uruguayââ¬â¢s president Josà © Mujica has proposed for a government regulated and controlled marijuana market while Mexican President Felipe Calderon has called for a new way to reduce trafficking considering the fact that developed countries have been unable to reduce their consumption of illegal drugs. President Calderon argued that criminal networks had massive resources due to the lack of international action by the drug consuming countries to tackle the issue (UN General Debate, 2012). Both leaders contend that legalization of drugs might be the solution to the drug problems that has plagued Latin America for decades. The argument made by the Latin American leaders fails to consider the adverse effects of drugs on the user. Drug use results in physical and mental effects and increases instances of violence. The UAE is strongly against illegal drugs and harsh penalties are imposed on individuals possessing or trafficking these drugs. This stringent approach is based on the understanding that drugs threaten social stability by promoting violence and making people economically inactive. The UAE perspective would therefore be against the proposed legalization of drugs since such measures would result in more harm than good. This argument is supported by Yacoubian (2007) who reveals that heavy marijuana use impairs a personââ¬â¢s ability to form memories and it might result in acute psychosis. Making the drug legal as the Uruguayan president proposes would result in more people suffering from the adverse mental and physical effects associated with drug use. Another argument made is that legalizing drugs such as Marijuana would have the positive effect of reducing trafficking. The Uruguayan president argues that legalization would give government greater control on the product, which would make it safer for the user while at the same time making the role of traffickersââ¬â¢ obsolete (Cave, 2012).Advertising Looking for essay on international relations? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More While this might be the case, marijuana is mostly a get way drug and most users move on to harder drugs such as heroin and cocaine. Making the drug legal would therefore lead to a significant increase in the number of people who are addicted to hard drugs. The UAE perspective would be against such a move since increased drug use is an undesirable outcome for the nation. The international community must take decisive action to tackle the issue of illegal drugs. However, this action should not be legalizing the consumption of currently illegal drugs. If the leaders in Latin America are earnest about their efforts to reduce drug trafficking, they should concentrate on eradicating corruption among local authority officials and improve the economic standards of their citizens. These are the two factors that have guaranteed the survival of drug cartels and traffickers and dealing with them will significant reduce the drug problem in the region. In the mean time, the leaders should adopt the UAE approach that views drugs as an ill to be eradicated at all costs for the good for the society. References Cave, D. (2012). Se Habla Espanol Essays
Se Habla Espanol Essays Se Habla Espanol Essay Se Habla Espanol Essay The author Tanya Maria Baritones decided to give her article a Spanish title prepared me for the subject by showing me that it will be about Spanish in some way or form. It led me to also believe that in the use of Se Habit Espanola Baritones was trying to hence that it is used in a variety of places with the same three words. Connecting it to the stereotypical Latino that they are all the same did support my impression as the title conveyed that Baritones saw that the Latino were people who wait[deed] tables and clean[deed] hotel rooms. It meant to Baritones that speaking Spanish meant to be poor. To be all the same. Just a poor Latino with a job that is typical. Such as the words of Se Habit Espanola. 2. The anecdote at the beginning of the text has the effect of showing the point of view of the conflict that Baritones has in learning her native language; which caught my attention in wanting to know why she would degrade her own native language. 3. The significance of learning Spanish to Baritones is that she tried hard for two decades to isolate herself from stereotype but then suddenly a shift in society changed it all. It is important to Baritones because speaking Spanish is what kept the Latino community together and without knowing Spanish she could not call herself a Latin and have pride in herself. 4. The reason Baritones added Spanish words to the writing is for the reader to see Baritones perspective of knowing Spanish. Without knowing the language, the feeling of being left out is present. If the words were translated the stance would then change. If the translations are just handed out to the readers then her point would not be proven. 5. Being from Austin and born as the first Mexican American generation my accent is very selective. When I speak English, speak in a normal non- differentiating accent. My English words are fine and clear, but at times I have a monotone accent and I dont notice it. Although, when I speak Spanish I have an accent that is immediately distinguishable.

There are three organizational structures and include Hierarchical, matrix and network structure. However, the optimal structure is a matrix or team structure. This is because it encourages interaction and participation among staff members, hence enhancing interpersonal relations. In addition, it also encourages managers to be more of group leaders and facilitators hence increasing accountability among staff members in an organization. When comparing the matrix structure with the rest, it always emerges the best. Managers in a Hierarchical structure always act as the final decision-makers, but those in matrix structure, focus on the accomplishment of shared objects of the team. In addition, staff members involved in a network structure, usually have a lot of differences in their affiliation and may fail to come up with a common goal. In matrix structure, staff members coordinate with one another and with their facilitator whose primary responsibility is to set objectives and evaluate

Heart failure Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3750 words
Heart failure - Essay Example In order to attain this end, the following objectives will be examined: ââ¬Å"Heart failure (HF) is common and is associated with a high morbidity and mortality. Forty per cent of patients with symptomatic left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) die within a year of diagnosis and 10% per annum thereafter, giving a five-year mortality rate of up to 70%.â⬠(Patel, et al., 2008, p. 35). Heart failure is therefore a major cause of death in nations like Britain. And this is often diagnosed through the identification of symptoms like left ventricular systolic dysfunction. This provides the identification of the main issues and the main signs that a patient might have a heart disease and heart complication. However, this is very chronic and fatal because many of the people diagnosed of this sickness will die within a year. Precisely, two out of five will die within a year and each year, one out of ten will die after the first year of diagnosis. This shows that heart failure (HF) is a major problem and a major issue within a given society. Heart failure is an issue that affects 0.4% to 2% of the population in Europe and half of this suffer from left ventricular systolic dysfunction (Patel, et al., 2008). This is representative of 2% of national health expenditure due to its danger and high risk (Patel, et al., 2008).
